Partnership – Registrar for civil partnership ceremonies –
Municipality Homo was informed that Vetlanda Municipality had previously had a registrar for civil partnership ceremonies, but that this was no longer the case. HomO decided to examine whether the Municipality’s decision that a registrar should no longer be appointed might be considered to be discrimination against persons with a homosexual or bisexual orientation. The Municipality stated that it did have a registrar for civil partnerships, and that information to the contrary was due to a misunderstanding. In view of this, HomO concluded that it could not be considered that there was any discrimination against homosexual or bisexual persons. (Decision of 14 February 2002, Dossier No. 43/02)
